We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team at Blue Shield Family General Practice in Kogarah, NSW. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting general practitioners in the delivery of clinical care to patients
- Conducting health assessments, administering vaccinations, and managing chronic conditions
- Coordinating and implementing health promotion and disease prevention programs
- Providing patient education and support, ensuring they understand their treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical documentation
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice
What we're looking for
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience in a general practice or primary healthcare setting
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and the broader healthcare team
- Proficient in using clinical software and technology to support patient care
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Current CPR certification and immunisation provider status
- Experience with Best Practice software or similar clinical management systems
- Demonstrated competency in wound care, ECG administration, and cold chain management
- Minimum 2 years' experience in general practice or primary healthcare setting
- Eligibility to work in Australia and current Working with Children Check
