Why this is an exciting opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable and contemporary technology solutions in a regulated financial services environment.

What you’ll be doing

- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex initiatives and platform modernisation
- Produce clear architecture artefacts including solution designs, ADRs and diagrams
- Design cloud-native solutions on AWS and/or GCP with strong security and cost awareness
- Apply modern patterns such as microservices, API-first and event-driven architectures
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to data, analytics and responsible AI design
- Support delivery in agile and scaled agile environments
- Contribute to enterprise architecture standards and guardrails

Experience & Skills

- Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions
- Strong hands-on architectural experience across applications, data, security and cloud
- Proven experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud-native services
- Experience with microservices, APIs and event-driven architectures
- Solid understanding of identity and access management including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC
- Strong understanding of security, compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments

Desirable Criteria

- Experience with platform or application modernisation programmes
- Strong background in data platforms, analytics and data governance
- Experience applying AI responsibly in regulated environments
- AWS and/or GCP Architect certification
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification
- FinOps or relevant security or data certifications
