The Prospect

Reporting to the Global Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience and leading a passionate cellar door team.

This hands-on leadership role combines hospitality excellence with commercial performance. You'll be responsible for creating a vibrant and welcoming environment, developing your team, growing direct sales and Wine Club membership, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

What You'll Be Doing

Creating Exceptional Guest Experiences

- Delivering a warm, engaging, and premium tasting experience for every visitor
- Acting as a passionate ambassador for the Pepper Tree Wines brand
- Building authentic connections that foster customer loyalty and advocacy
- Continuously enhancing the cellar door experience to exceed guest expectations

Leading and Inspiring the Team

- Recruiting, training, coaching, and developing cellar door staff
- Creating a positive, high-performing team culture
- Leading by example and empowering team members to achieve their best
- Managing rostering and staffing levels to meet business needs

Driving Commercial Success

- Maximising cellar door sales and Wine Club conversions
- Developing customer relationships and growing database engagement
- Coaching the team in wine knowledge and consultative sales techniques
- Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement

Managing Operations

- Overseeing daily and monthly cellar door operations
- Managing POS systems, reporting, and cash handling processes




- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring exceptional presentation standards
- Supporting events, group bookings, and peak trading periods
- Ensuring compliance with RSA, WHS, and company policies

About You

You're an enthusiastic and experienced hospitality leader who loves creating memorable experiences and bringing out the best in people.

You combine strong commercial acumen with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a passion for wine. Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys leading from the front and creating an environment where guests and team members alike feel welcomed and valued.

You'll Bring

- Proven experience in cellar door, hospitality, tourism, or venue management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A passion for wine and delivering premium customer experiences
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (essential)
- Experience with Wine Hub and Shopify (highly regarded)
- Experience with Canva and Deputy (highly regarded)
- Current RSA and Driver's Licence
- WSET Level 3 or equivalent (highly regarded)
