About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial electrical projects, while working closely with our Project Managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Our projects range from service upgrades and small commercial fit-outs through to larger commercial fit-out & refurbishment projects. You'll play a key role in reviewing documentation, preparing tenders, pricing variations, and helping secure new work for the business.

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and confident working independently while also being a strong team player. You'll have direct access to our Project Managers and Managing Director, allowing for quick decisions, support when needed, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tenders for commercial electrical projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to determine project requirements.
- Complete material take-offs and obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations,



and tender submissions within required timeframes.
- Price project variations, additional works, and service-related quotations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure a smooth handover of successful projects.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options where appropriate.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
- Keep estimating databases, pricing schedules, and project documentation up to date.
- Attend site inspections and pre-tender meetings when required.
- Assist in developing estimating processes and contribute to continuous improvement within the business.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current NSW Electrical Contractor's Licence.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Proven experience in electrical estimating within the commercial sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical installations, fit-outs, and construction processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to prepare accurate costings and reports.
- Experience using Simpro (or similar estimating/project management software).
- Experience using Blue Beam or Ground Plan (or similar estimating/project management software).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional presentation with confidence in dealing directly with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Robust attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
