ABOUT THE ROLE

As a JJ’s Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will play an integral role within our workshop team in our Underwood depot.

You will be conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication.

We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.

You must be available for afternoon shift starting times.

ABOUT YOU

- Have trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles
- Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail and have a good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to mentor and coach other mechanics and apprentices
- Reliable and punctual - you show up on time, ready to get the job done
- Able to follow process and procedures, but flexible and resourceful enough to adapt on the go
- Be physically capable to safely perform regular manual handling tasks
- Professional and approachable - the friendly face of JJs internally and a team player
- Safety-conscious and committed to following all policies and procedures
- Willing to complete a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test
