Our client is seeking an experienced AML Team Leader to oversee daily operations within a fast-paced compliance environment. This role is responsible for leading and coaching AML analysts, managing workflow and service levels, performing quality reviews, and ensuring escalated cases are accurate, complete, and decision-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop a team of AML analysts.
- Manage workloads, queues, and service level commitments.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
- Review and assess complex AML alerts, customer due diligence, and screening outcomes.
- Ensure escalated cases are well documented and supported by appropriate evidence.
- Produce management reporting and performance metrics.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational excellence.
- Assist with internal audits, reviews, and compliance initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years' experience in AML, financial crime, or compliance operations.
- Relevent degree desirable
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of customer due diligence, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a energetic environment.
- CAMS or similar industry certification is desirable.
