We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join established residential aged care facilities across the Hornsby area.
This is a hands‑on role suited to practical, reliable maintenance professionals who take pride in keeping buildings, grounds and equipment safe, functional and well presented.
The Role
Reporting to a Maintenance Area Lead, you will:
- Complete planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, grounds, plant and equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests and effectively manage competing priorities
- Identify maintenance and improvement requirements
- Complete hands‑on maintenance tasks within your competency and approved scope
- Coordinate external contractors for specialist or complex works
- Obtain quotations, facilitate site access and monitor contractor works
- Maintain accurate maintenance and asset records
- Support minor refurbishment, upgrade and capital works projects
- Complete environmental, safety and compliance checks as required
- Minimise disruption and maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors
- Maintain safe, clean and operational work areas
About You
To be successful,
you will ideally bring:
- A current Driver Licence
- A trade qualification or relevant technical certification
- Proven experience across general facilities, building or property maintenance
- Strong practical problem‑solving skills and sound judgement
- The ability to work independently and prioritise maintenance requests
- Experience working with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Good computer literacy and confidence using maintenance or asset management systems
- Strong communication, organisation and time management skills
- A practical understanding of safe work practices and compliance requirements
- Experience within aged care, retirement living, healthcare or another regulated workplace will be highly regarded.
- A Test and Tag Certificate and LR or higher Driver Licence would also be advantageous.
