About The Role

This is a full-time field-based role focused on the servicing and repair of automatic doors, roller doors, and gates across LGE's established client base throughout Geelong, the Bellarine, and Surf Coast. You will be out on the road each day attending client sites, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring systems are operating safely and reliably.

This role also involves general support to the broader LGE team from time to time, so flexibility and a willingness to pitch in are part of what makes someone a great fit here. Training on LGE's door and gate systems will be provided, we are looking for the right person, not just the right resume.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and repair a range of automatic door systems including sliding doors, swing doors, roller doors, and gates

• Attend client sites to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure systems are operating correctly and safely

• Carry out preventative maintenance activities across the client base, identifying and addressing issues before they escalate

• Liaise proactively with LGE supervisors and management,



keeping them informed of job progress and any issues arising on site

• Maintain accurate and timely job records including notes, time, and job status in the company's job management system (SimPRO)

• Deliver works within scope, on time, and within budget while maintaining safety and compliance

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, presenting professionally and providing a high level of service

• Provide general support to the broader LGE team as required

• Complete overtime as required

About You

You are a practical, hands-on person who takes pride in the quality of your work and the service you provide to clients. You are self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field, managing your day and getting jobs done to a high standard without needing to be managed closely.

You have a mechanical or electrical background whether that's through formal trade training or hands-on experience and you pick up new systems quickly. Most importantly, you are reliable, safety-conscious, and someone who represents the business well in front of clients every day.

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have

• A current Victorian Driver's Licence (manual required)





• An electrical or mechanical background, trade qualification, or relevant hands-on experience (preferred)

• Experience with automatic doors, roller doors, gates, or similar systems (preferred)

• The ability to work independently in the field, manage your time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities

• Strong communication skills and a professional approach with clients

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and pass a National Police Check

• Willingness to work overtime
