We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Maintenance Fitter to join our clients maintenance team within a busy food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of plant, equipment, and facilities through preventative maintenance, repairs, fault finding, and general maintenance activities.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance qualified, or someone looking to bring their mechanical skills into a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out preventative, routine, and reactive maintenance on production equipment and plant
- Assist with troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairs to minimise equipment downtime
- Support installation, upgrades, and improvements to machinery and facilities
- Complete general mechanical maintenance tasks and support daily maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with workplace procedures
- Support food safety, hygiene, and site compliance requirements
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard

About You:

- Mechanical trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience preferred
- Experience in maintenance, manufacturing, industrial,



or similar environments is advantageous
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
- Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop skills within a maintenance environment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and workplace requirements
- Flexible approach and willingness to support the wider team
- Ability to successfully complete a drug and alcohol screening and police check as part of the recruitment process
