About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide high-level executive support while coordinating governance, compliance and Board administration functions across the organisation. This role is central to ensuring RAATSIC maintains effective governance practices, meets statutory obligations and supports informed decision-making at Board and Executive levels. This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Identified Position.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Board and Committee meetings, agendas, papers and governance documentation.
- Attend meetings and maintain accurate minutes, action registers and governance records.
- Provide executive support to the CEO, including diary, correspondence and stakeholder coordination.
- Monitor governance and compliance obligations, reporting requirements and governance calendars.
- Support audits,
policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare governance reports, briefing papers and compliance updates for leadership and the Board.
About You
- We are seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to join our team in this Identified position to support our commitment to self-determination, cultural safety, and improved outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The successful applicant will bring cultural knowledge, community connection, and lived experience that will contribute to culturally secure and responsive governance. This position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants under a lawful special measure.
- Experience in governance, Board support, compliance, executive support or corporate administration.
- Strong organisational, time management and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with sound judgement and discretion.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and document management skills.
- Understanding of governance, risk and accountability frameworks.
- Commitment to culturally safe practice and working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
