We’re looking for committed Therapeutic Youth Workers to join our team and provide hands‑on, trauma‑informed support to children and young people with high and complex needs across Maitland, Newcastle and the broader Hunter region.

What You’ll Do

- Mentor, guide and role‑model positive behaviours
- Support children and young people with daily routines, education, appointments and family time
- Respond calmly and therapeutically during challenging situations using trauma‑informed practices
- Create safe, nurturing and welcoming environments where children and young people feel supported and valued

What you will have

- A minimum of 6 months of experience or robust motivation to work with children and young people (birth–18 years) required
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including day, night and weekend shifts
- Unrestricted driver's licence and a comprehensively insured, registered vehicle




- Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID003/011 + HLTAID001/009)
- Current Working With Children Check (Paid Employment)
- National Criminal History Check (within 6 months)
- Willingness to consent to be listed on the OCG Residential Care Workers Register
- Completion of, or willingness to complete, recognised 3-day TCI training
