Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Public Areas Attendant to join our accommodation team. Working across public and back-of-house spaces, you will help ensure all communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming for guests, residents and visitors. This role is operational and hands-on, with a full time opportunity available to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain public areas including foyers, corridors, lifts, stairwells, toilets, function rooms and external alfresco spaces
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and glass cleaning to property standards
- Empty rubbish bins and recycle where appropriate; manage linen and towel collections
- Report maintenance issues, hazards or damage to the appropriate department
- Follow safe work practices and use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly
- Assist colleagues across housekeeping and operations during peak periods




- Provide friendly, professional and helpful service to guests and visitors when required

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in housekeeping, public areas, or cleaning roles within hospitality or similar environments
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, lift and move equipment and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Flexible availability across a 7-day rotating roster including weekends, nights and public holidays
- Current police check and relevant certifications where required
