MDU Labourer – nbn Fibre Installation

Virtus Solutions is seeking motivated MDU Labourers to support our nbn Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) fibre installation projects across Brisbane, including apartments, office buildings and commercial properties.

Responsibilities
- Assist with fibre cable installation in apartments and commercial buildings
- Pull, route and secure fibre optic cables
- Assist with cable termination and testing
- Assist with drilling, wall cavity work and cable pathways
- Maintain a safe and tidy worksite
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Work closely with Team Leaders and Fibre Technicians
- Follow nbn and workplace safety procedures
Essential Requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills
- Current Australian Driver's Licence (preferred)
Required Qualifications
Applicants should hold (or be willing to obtain):
- White Card
- Asbestos Awareness
- First Aid (HLTAID011)
- CPR (HLTAID009)
- VOC for Wall Cavity Testing Equipment
- nbn Enable accreditation (preferred)
Desirable
- Experience in telecommunications, electrical or construction
- Experience working on nbn MDU projects
- Basic knowledge of fibre optic installations
- Working at Heights ticket
- ACMA Cabling Registration (advantageous)
