CrewSELECT are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Trades Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced workshop team. This is an excellent prospect for someone with strong hands‑on workshop experience looking for stable, ongoing work with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.
About the Role
Working within a well-established workshop, you will be assisting qualified tradesmen with a variety of day-to-day workshop duties including grinding, cutting, drilling, material handling, and operating hand and power tools. This role will suit someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe workspace, and can work efficiently within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Grinding, cutting, and drilling materials
- Safe operation of hand and power tools
- Assisting tradesmen with workshop duties and fabrication support
- General workshop housekeeping and maintaining clean work areas
- Moving materials and supporting daily workshop operations
- Following all workplace safety procedures and standards
Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years' experience within a workshop or manufacturing environment
- Experience using grinders, drills, cutting equipment, and hand tools
- Strong understanding of workshop safety procedures
- Forklift ticket is required
- Overhead crane experience/ticket highly regarded
