Noosa Gourmet is a locally owned artisan bakery producing high-quality breads and pastries for retail and wholesale customers. We’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Baker or Bakery Assistant to join our hands-on team and develop practical skills in a fast-paced production workplace.
The role
This is a full-time position based in Noosa, Queensland. Early morning starts and some weekend work are required. You’ll work alongside experienced bakers, contributing to daily production while learning core baking skills.
This role suits:

- A reliable assistant wanting consistent work in a bakery environment
What you’ll be doing
- Weighing and preparing ingredients to recipes and production schedules
- Assisting with mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing products
- Operating bakery equipment safely (mixers, ovens, dividers)
- Packing, labelling,
and general production duties
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace in line with food safety and WHS requirements
For apprentices
- On-the-job training with experienced bakers
- Support to complete a Certificate III in Baking through a registered training organisation
- Exposure to a range of bread and pastry production
About you
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage early starts
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Able to follow instructions and work in a team
- Physically capable (long periods standing and lifting ingredients)
- Previous kitchen or bakery experience is a bonus but not essential
