Narangba Aged Care currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team on a full time basis.
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse will provide overall supervision and monitoring of the provision of a high standard of clinical care and service delivery to residents. The role will be responsible to supervise staff to ensure an effective, efficient functioning care team for the designated shift on each unit in conjunction and under the direction of the Clinical Care Coordinator.
Our Clinical Nurse will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Staffing requirements for the shift are in line with agreed budget and master roster.
Coordination and supervision of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants in the delivery of direct care of residents in accordance with the resident’s care plan, Facility policy and procedures, and relevant legislative and professional standards of practice requirements.
Develop comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments and care plans for new residents, and review for existing residents, in consultation and partnership with the resident/resident representative, and collaboration with clinical, medical, allied health and lifestyle staff.
Ensure the social, psychological, emotional, spiritual, identity, diversity, cultural and recreational needs, goals and preferences of residents are assessed and strategies to meet identified needs are documented in the care plan and goals and outcomes evaluated.
Ensure that all medical and or allied health professional directives are carried out as ordered and outcomes evaluated and documented, and report, document and action any incidents of non-compliance.
Establish positive working relationships and communication with visiting medical officers and visiting allied health professionals.
About you
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
Extensive clinical experience within the Aged Care Sector with a proven track record in a similar role.
Proven capability in clinical assessments and care planning to accurately reflect assessed care needs of residents.
Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to resident needs.
Detailed knowledge of the legislative requirements that apply to Aged Care.
Sound knowledge and understanding of Aged Care Funding System, AN-ACC documentation requirements, and the Aged Care Standards Accreditation Process.
Computer literacy with Aged Care software and Microsoft Office suite
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
Bachelor of Nursing degree and a current AHPRA Registration
Willingness to obtain valid Police Check
Australian/New Zealand residency or a valid working visa
