About the role

We are looking for a local person with a genuine desire to work in this industry and advance their skillset, with a solid foundation providing excellent customer service. Somebody who plans to stay around for the foreseeable future.

To be successful in this role, you will have:





- 5+ years’ experience in a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar infrastructure-focused role.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

- Strong time management, planning, and problem-solving skills.

- Proven ability to successfully deliver technical projects from planning through to completion.

- A demonstrated ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly.

- Strong documentation, organisational, and project delivery skills.

- A demonstrated focus on quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.

- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the implementation of IT infrastructure, cloud, security, and modern workplace projects.

- Plan, build, migrate, and deploy technical solutions in accordance with project requirements.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high-quality standard.

- Create and maintain project-related documentation, handover notes, and technical standards.

- Perform infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, platform deployments, and technology refreshes.

- Identify and mitigate project risks and technical issues throughout delivery.

- Work collaboratively with the Service Desk team to ensure smooth project transitions and knowledge transfer.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers where required.





- Assist with escalated Level 3 support issues when required.

Desirable Technical Skills:

- Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID.

- Strong experience designing and implementing Microsoft Azure solutions.

- Experience performing Microsoft 365, Azure, and server migration projects.

- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022 and later).

- Strong experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.

- Experience implementing endpoint management and security solutions using Microsoft Intune.

- Advanced networking knowledge, including VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, wireless, and firewall technologies.

- Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Ubiquiti, or equivalent networking platforms.

- Experience implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Veeam and Azure Backup.

- Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies and best practices, including MFA, Conditional Access, Zero Trust, and Microsoft Defender.

- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.

- Working knowledge of SQL environments, Remote Desktop Services, and Citrix platforms.

- Experience delivering infrastructure modernisation, cloud adoption, and security uplift projects.

Desirable Education:

- Industry certifications from major vendors such as Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, and Cisco

- TAFE or UniversityInformation and Communications Technology certifications
