Position title: Product Manager (Food / FMCG)

About Us

Daesang Australia is the Australian subsidiary of Daesang Corporation, managing Korean food brands and products across retail and foodservice channels in Australia and New Zealand.

Work Location

North Sydney, NSW (office based, with customer and site visits as required).

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct market, category, consumer and competitor research to identify commercially viable product opportunities.
- Manage product development and localisation from initial concept through launch, including product specifications, packaging, pricing and positioning.
- Translate customer and operational requirements into commercial foodservice solutions, including customer-specific packaging and product specifications.
- Coordinate samples, product testing, customer evaluations and improvements with Head Office, suppliers, QA, SCM, Sales and Marketing.
- Assess import feasibility, landed cost, margin, regulatory and labelling requirements, production capability and supply-chain readiness.




- Support foodservice and airline-catering product evaluations and packaging improvements where relevant.
- Prepare product launch plans, forecasts, sales materials and performance reports, and manage the full product lifecycle.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback and portfolio performance to identify future commercial opportunities.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of relevant FMCG or food industry experience.
- Strong commercial judgement, analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective project management, communication and cross-functional stakeholder-management skills.
- Fluent business English; Korean language ability is preferred for communication with Head Office.
- Valid Australian working rights.
