Club Yeronga is seeking a motivated, hands‑on Duty Manager to join our leadership team. This is an exciting chance to become part of a progressive and growing community club that has recently completed a major renovation and refurbishment.

As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in leading daily operations, developing staff, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring the club continues to provide an outstanding experience for our members and guests.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager and General Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the venue, ensuring all departments deliver exceptional service while maintaining compliance with industry legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise daily operations across Gaming, Reception, Bar, Restaurant, Cellar and Function areas.
- Provide visible leadership, coaching and support to staff throughout each shift.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for members and guests.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming legislation, Responsible Gambling requirements, CCTV procedures and Club policies.
- Maintain Workplace Health & Safety standards and promote a safe working environment.
- Manage cash handling, reconciliations, banking and shift reporting.
- Assist with staff training, performance development and ongoing mentoring.
- Handle customer enquiries,



complaints and incident management professionally.
- Support the implementation of new systems, procedures and operational improvements.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to achieve business goals.
- Assist with stock control, venue presentation and operational standards.
- Lead by example and contribute to a positive, high‑performing team culture.

About You

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Previous Duty Manager or supervisory experience within a licensed club, hotel or hospitality venue.
- Strong knowledge of gaming, bar and food & beverage operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience with cash management, reconciliations and reporting.
- Sound computer literacy and confidence using hospitality systems.
- A genuine passion for customer service and developing staff.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Essential Requirements

- Current Queensland RSA.
- Current Queensland RSG.
- Current Approved Manager License.
- Current RMLV (highly regarded).
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Availability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Full Australian working rights.
