Bollino Civil and Mining Solutions is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with Transport and Main Roads (TMR) experience to join our team on a Casual basis. This is a FIFO/DIDO position based in Rolleston, QLD 4702, offering the opportunity to work on significant civil engineering projects in the mining and infrastructure sectors. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in civil engineering design, project management, and regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality outcomes on complex projects. Your experience with TMR requirements and standards will be essential to ensuring all works meet stringent Queensland transport infrastructure specifications.

Key responsibilities

Design and oversee civil engineering works in accordance with TMR standards and specifications

Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards

Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation

Liaise with Transport and Main Roads officials to obtain approvals and permits for works

Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors

Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery

Undertake site surveys and geotechnical investigations to inform design decisions

Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation and records

Identify and implement risk mitigation strategies on site

Communicate project progress and technical information to stakeholders and senior management

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional qualification

Current Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status, with demonstrated progress towards full PE registration

Minimum 3-5 years of post-graduate civil engineering experience

Proven experience working on Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects in Queensland





Thorough knowledge of TMR design standards, specifications, and approval processes

Strong proficiency in civil engineering design software and CAD packages

Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and cost control

Demonstrated competency in site supervision and contractor management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively in remote and challenging work environments

Current driver's licence and willingness to undertake FIFO/DIDO arrangements

Desirable: Experience in mining infrastructure, road construction, or drainage systems design
