The Mawson Club, a leading hospitality provider, is seeking a talented and dedicated Duty Manager to join our team in Canberra, ACT. As a Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our prestigious club. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

- Supervising and coordinating the work of front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive guest experience
- Monitoring and responding to customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback, delivering prompt and effective resolutions
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Participating in the planning and execution of special events and functions
- Providing leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on daily operations

What we're looking for





- Experience in a similar Duty Manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Minimum 6-12 months of duty manager or supervisory experience in hospitality is required
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team in a quick-paced, customer-focused environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with customers, staff, and stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations within the hospitality industry
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering a high-quality guest experience
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position
