Lovatt Transport Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Transport Allocator to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the efficient allocation and scheduling of our fleet of over 30 vehicles and drivers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of goods . You will supervise and support a small operations team and report to the Operations manager.
What you'll be doing
Coordinate and allocate transport jobs to drivers, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and on-time delivery
Monitor real-time vehicle and driver availability, making adjustments to schedules as needed
Liaise with clients to understand their delivery requirements and priorities
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of our transport operations
Foster a positive work environment and provide support and guidance to the transport team
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Transport Allocator or in a similar logistics coordination role (min 2 years)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both clients and internal teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities,
with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Proficient in using transportation management systems including 1-stop, Containerchain and Freighttracker
Knowledge of relevant transport regulations and safety requirements
A positive, customer-focused attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
