Modern Star Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Distribution Centre Team Leader to support our Desptach Team Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of our busy Brendale Distribution Centre.

This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys coaching people, solving operational challenges, and leading by example. You will spend the majority of your time on the warehouse floor, supporting your team to achieve safety, service and productivity targets while fostering a positive, high-performing culture.

About the Role

Reporting to the Despatch Team Manager, you will play an integral role in coordinating daily warehouse operations across:

- Inbound
- Outbound

You will assist with labour planning, workflow coordination, safety, team development and operational performance, ensuring customer orders are delivered safely, accurately and on time.

This is a leadership position that combines operational responsibility with people leadership, making it ideal for someone who enjoys developing others while remaining actively involved in day-to-day warehouse operations.





Key Responsibilities

- Lead by example and promote a positive safety-first culture
- Supervise and support daily warehouse operations
- Allocate labour and resources to achieve productivity and service targets
- Coach, mentor and develop team members
- Conduct daily start-up meetings and communicate operational priorities
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support performance management, training and onboarding
- Assist with incident investigations, hazard identification and WHS compliance
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with leaders across the Distribution Centre to optimise workflow during both business-as-usual operations and peak trading periods

About You

- Minimum two years' experience leading teams within a warehouse or distribution setting
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop people
- Strong operational planning and decision-making skills
- Experience allocating labour and managing workflow to meet daily operational targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A sound understanding of warehouse safety and compliance requirements




- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to safely perform the inherent physical requirements of working within a warehouse environment
- Full Australian working rights
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Certificate III in Warehousing & Logistics
- Current LF Forklift Licence with high-reach experience
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP or Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Exposure to Lean, continuous improvement or change management initiatives
