On behalf of our client, we are looking for anexperienced full time Accountant.
The daily duties and responsibilities include:
- Collate and review financial records to ensure accuracy and clear audit trails.
- Supporting the Financial Controller with various month end reporting duties when required
- Preparing financial statement and financial report for management
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements
- Managing cash flows and investments and creating budgets and forecasts
- Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Education– Bachelor degree or higher qualification desirable. Industry experience may substitute.
Experience & Skills
- At least 2 years of relevant experience with completing tax returns; more complex company, trust,
partnerships; tax research and preparing of financial statement for all entity types; correspondence with ASIC and ATO.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of client file structures
- Demonstrated understanding of asset protections concepts
- Demonstrated time management completing engagements within timeframes
- Staying aware of current events and economic legislative and environments
- Ability to work largely independent and display role model behaviour for accountants
- Demonstrated high level understanding of practice tax software, returns, file creations and matter creations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of basic concepts for GST, FBT and Stamp Duty.
Salary- Salary being offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is $79,499 - $100,000 per annum
