National Operations Assistant Manager - Security Monitoring Centre

About the Role
Assisting the National Operations Manager you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of a 24/7 monitoring centre that receives and responds to alarm signals, CCTV events, duress alarms, and client requests. The role combines operations management, people leadership, compliance, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all operational activities comply with relevant legislation, standards, licencing requirements, and contractual obligations to maintain compliance with Monitoring Centre grading and certification requirements.
- Prepare, review, and implementation of operational documents including work plans, Safety Management Plans, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and roster structures.
- Ensure that client’s services are delivered on time within the scope and on budget.
- Provide timely billing schedules and ensure all operational activities are correctly captured for invoicing.
- Oversee delivery of ad-hoc services and ensure client billing is completed accurately and promptly.
- Monitor contract budgets to ensure service delivery is maintained within financial expectations.
- Provide accurate operational costing, pricing information,
and scope assessments when requested by Sales / BDM staff.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation for operational responsibilities.
- Drive continuous operational improvement, efficiency, and service quality across all national operations.
- Assist with recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of operational management and staff.
- Ensure all employees receive SECOM-mandated, and site-specific training.
- Oversee subcontractor induction, performance management, and compliance.
- Implement and maintain effective recordkeeping systems, procurement workflows, and resource management.

About You
- 1AE NSW Security Licence (essential).
- Australian citizien / permanent resident with unrestricted ongoing working rights (essential).
- Minimum of 5+ years in the security industry (essential).
- Minimum of 2+ years management experience, preferably with multi-site or national operational oversight.
- Ability to be on call on alternate weeks and be able to cover a monitoring night or weekend shift if necessary.
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset and a desire to protect others.
- Solid computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a proactive attitude.
