with an indusutry leading client based in Acacia Ridge. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the manufacture and repair of heavy transport equipment, ensuring optimal performance and productivity. This is a full-time position offering opportunities for ongoing career development.
What you'll be doing
- Manufacturing, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of specialised heavy vehicle trailers
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Fitting, inspecting, and assembling components, replacing worn or defective parts as required
- Performing precision fitouts alignments to ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications
- Complete your college training as required
What we're looking for
- Current enrolment in a Mechanical Fitting apprenticeship or industry experience
- Trade assistants with relevant experience are encouraged to apply and will be rapid tracked to formal qulification as a mechanical fitter through a combination of recognition of prior learning(RPL)
and flexible college options
- Experience in the build and repair of industrial machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, 24 volt electrical componenets and mechanical systems wil be highly regarded
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail to perform precision work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and quality
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders
