As Store Manager, you will own the performance, presentation and culture of your store. You will lead from the front, driving sales and operational standards while building a reliable, accountable team.
You will:
- Lead by example by achieving your own sales targets, operational excellence and strong attendance
- Take full responsibility for daily store operations and customer experience
- Build strong relationships with industrial and trade clients, both new and existing
- Hold your team accountable for sales, KPIs, attendance and customer service standards
- Identify process improvements to lift efficiency, compliance and profitability
What You’ll Be Doing
Sales & Customer Experience
- Drive and exceed individual and store sales targets and KPIs
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable solutions
- Analyse sales reports to identify trends, opportunities and underperformance
- Implement sales initiatives and local area marketing activities in line with company strategy
People Leadership
- Onboard and train new team members using established induction programs
- Run regular coaching sessions, performance check-ins and corrective action where required
- Create a positive, high-performance culture with clear expectations and follow-through
- Ensure team adherence to rosters,
time and attendance standards and company policies
Operations & Compliance
- Maintain visual merchandising, stock presentation and overall store standards
- Manage inventory levels to optimise availability and minimise shrinkage
- Oversee end-of-day processes including banking, security and reporting
- Ensure compliance with WHS obligations, company policies and all relevant legislation
- Quickly and professionally resolve customer issues or complaints
About You
You are a hands-on retail leader with solid operational discipline and a track record of lifting store performance.
- Experience as a Store Manager or 2IC in a high-volume retail, industrial or trade-based setting
- Proven success leading teams to achieve sales, KPIs and operational standards
- Strong coaching, performance management and people leadership skills
- Confidence using data and reports to drive decisions and improvements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and some public holidays
