About the role

Erina Kindergarten is seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team as Certificate III Trainees in Childcare. This is an exciting full time traineeship opportunity based in Erina, NSW 2250, designed for those looking to launch their career in early childhood education and care. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced educators whilst completing your Certificate III qualification, gaining practical hands-on experience in a supportive and nurturing environment. This role is perfect for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on children's lives and development during their crucial early years.

What you'll be doing

- Supporting qualified educators in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities and play-based experiences

- Assisting with the supervision and care of children in a safe, inclusive and stimulating childcare environment

- Contributing to the implementation of curriculum frameworks and educational programs

- Helping with routine care tasks including meal preparation, hygiene practices and transitions throughout the day

- Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and social development through positive interactions and engagement

- Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory standards

- Collaborating with the kindergarten team to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and families

- Participating in career development activities and team meetings

- Assisting with the maintenance of a clean, safe and organised learning space

What we're looking for

- A genuine passion for working with young children and early childhood education

- Willingness to undertake and complete the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Reliability, punctuality and commitment to the role throughout the traineeship period





- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)

- Good physical health and stamina, as the role involves being active with children throughout the day

- Patience, empathy and a positive attitude towards supporting children's learning and development

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in accordance with childcare regulations and policies

- A current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain one)
