Our client is a successful, highly respected, local residential construction company based in Newcastle. They are looking for a Construction Manager to join their team, where the successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of all upcoming projects.

About the Role
As the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Construction team and driving exceptional project delivery to ensure that client’s needs are being met through strong collaboration and execution.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Managing construction projects from the initial concept through to completion.

Overseeing all builds to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.

Providing construction procurement advice in relation to processes, quotations and estimates, as well as the selection and evaluation of tenders from suppliers and contractors.

Managing project schedules and project financials.





Facilitating the preparation of building specifications and reviewing each project in-depth to schedule deliverables.

Ensuring contractual performance requirements are met.

Managing labour resources.

Monitoring daily workflow and evaluating task progress.

Evaluating, managing and minimising risk.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Construction Management and holding a current NSW Builders/Supervisors Licence.

Minimum 5 years’ experience managing small to medium construction projects.

Strategic in approach with the ability to efficiently coordinate several projects at once.

Robust negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Proofen people management skills with exceptional communication skills.
