Mezzalira Ristorante, Canberra’s leading Italian dining institution located in the heart of the CBD, is seeking a talented and passionate Full-Time Chef to join our elite kitchen team. TSS 482 visa sponsorship is available after a 3-month qualifying period for the right candidate.
Remuneration & Benefits: Base Salary: $79,500 – $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation, commensurate with experience) Visa Pathway: Sponsorship available after 3 months of demonstrated performance

- Kitchen Operations: Cook, prepare, and monitor the quality of authentic Italian dishes at all stages of presentation.
- Management Support: Assist in menu planning, estimating food/labour costs, and ordering kitchen supplies.
- Leadership: Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques, advise on procedures, and train/supervise junior kitchen staff.
Compliance & Candidate Requirements
- Compliance: Maintain strict food hygiene, safety standards, and handle high-pressure service with a professional attitude.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant, post-qualification work experience as a Chef.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualifications: Relevant commercial cookery qualifications matching the level of the position.
- Skills: Exceptional punctuality, reliability, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
- Language: Full qualified fluency in English.
