Join a State Government client as a Project Manager — Lead Impactful Infrastructure Projects in the North Coast Region!
Are you a motivated, detail-oriented professional ready to steer infrastructure initiatives that make a real difference? We’re seeking a dynamic Project Manager to support the CVC Levy Program in picturesque locations like Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, and Lismore. This is your chance to lead low-complexity projects, collaborate with a dedicated team, and deliver exceptional outcomes that benefit communities across the North Coast.
Project location: Grafton. (50% onsite and 50% office based)
7hrs/day 35hrs/wk
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver infrastructure projects aligned with organizational standards.
- Collaborate in planning sessions and contribute to project strategies.
- Participate actively in team meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and achieve project goals.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, government policies, and regulations to provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Foster excellent client relationships through accurate, responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Support business development efforts by assisting in fee proposals and identifying new opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and contributing to process enhancements.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant trade, post-trade,
or tertiary qualifications in contract administration, project management, architecture, building, or engineering (civil, environmental, mechanical, electrical, or networks).
- Strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure projects with a focus on safety, quality, and budget.
- At least 3 years of civil or construction experience is mandatory.
- Valid NSW driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote locations, including overnight stays if required.
Pay Rate:
- $46.36 per hour + super
- 6-month contract, with possibility of extension depending on project needs.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience working within government or public infrastructure programs.
- Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
- Skills in process improvement and business development.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- A completed relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent qualified experience.
- Previous experience in civil, environmental, or electrical project management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under strict time, cost, and quality constraints.
Other Requirements:
- Valid NSW driver’s license to facilitate travel to regional project sites.
