Are you a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to step into the heavy vehicle industry? Or do you have a background in tyre fitting with experience working on trucks? This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team and build a long-term career in heavy vehicle maintenance and wheel alignments.
Based from a modern workshop in Logan, you'll receive hands-on training to become a Heavy Diesel Fitter while working with industry-leading wheel alignment technology on a wide range of commercial vehicles.
About the Role
This position focuses primarily on heavy vehicle wheel alignments, suspension geometry, and steering diagnostics for trucks and trailers. You'll work alongside experienced technicians using specialised equipment to ensure vehicles perform safely, efficiently, and maximise tyre life.
What You'll Be Doing
- Performing wheel alignments on heavy vehicles, trucks, and trailers.
- Inspecting steering and suspension components.
- Diagnosing alignment and handling issues.
- Working with specialised alignment equipment and technology.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Completing inspections and reporting findings accurately.
About You
- Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic or
- Tyre fitting experience with exposure to trucks or commercial vehicles.
- Heavy vehicle industry experience is highly regarded (particularly if not trade qualified).
- Wheel alignment experience or knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well within a team.
- A current driver's licence (HR licence advantageous).
