About the Role

This is a outstanding opportunity to join an established national business operating across heavy machinery sales, service and parts. The business is large enough to offer structure, systems and complexity, while still providing genuine hands-on exposure across a broad finance function.

Reporting into the Group Accountant, this role will suit an Assistant Accountant or strong Accounts Officer who is looking to continue developing their technical accounting skills. You will support day-to-day finance operations, bank and cash transactions, month-end accounting, finance facilities, machine-related transactions and broader finance team activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Process daily bank transactions and complete reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Maintain cash flow records, finance facility schedules and supporting documentation
- Support month-end close,



journals, intercompany reconciliations and fixed asset records
- Assist with BAS, GST, PRT, FBT records and audit requirements
- Provide backup support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and broader finance processes

About You

- Experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer or similar finance role
- Practical experience with bank reconciliations, journals and general ledger transactions
- Exposure to month-end accounting processes and financial schedules
- Intermediate Excel skills and experience using an ERP or finance system
- Currently studying an accounting degree, CA or CPA, with a hands-on and proactive approach
