The Opportunity
SEE Group is seeking an experienced WHS Specialist to join our growing SEE Fleet Division, based in Yatala, QLD. Supporting our workshops in Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and satellite mining locations, you will partner with operational leaders to ensure compliance with SEE Group's ISO Certified Management Systems, while driving a proactive safety culture across the business. This role offers a unique opportunity to support a critical part of SEE Group during an exciting period of growth. As we expand our workshop capability and increase in-house maintenance, repairs and rebuilds, you will play a key role in ensuring safety remains at the forefront of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide WHS leadership and support across SEE Fleet workshop operations.
Partner with workshop management and operational teams to drive proactive safety outcomes.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, ISO management systems.
Conduct audits, inspections and workplace verification activities across all fleet facilities.
Facilitate incident investigations and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions.
Support risk assessments and the development of practical control measures for workshop and maintenance activities.
Assist with the development, implementation and review of Safe Work Method Statements, procedures and safety documentation.
Deliver coaching, mentoring and safety leadership support to workshop personnel and supervisors.
Monitor and report on safety performance, trends and opportunities for improvement.
Support health, wellbeing and injury prevention initiatives across the Fleet Division.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Diploma or Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety.
Demonstrated WHS experience within heavy industry, maintenance, mining, civil construction or fleet operations.
Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk management and incident investigation processes.
Experience working within certified management systems, including ISO standards.
Knowledge of OFSC accreditation requirements or similar contractor management frameworks.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (highly regarded).
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Drug and Alcohol Testing qualification (desirable).
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A practical, collaborative approach with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
