Warehouse Team Leader — Botany
Air Freight & Warehouse Operations
We're a leading e-commerce clearance and delivery company with operations across Australia and New Zealand, including facilities in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our Botany operation and lead a team of around 10 warehouse employees in a busy air freight environment.
This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership role for someone who leads from the front, thrives under pressure, and knows what it takes to keep freight moving safely and on time.
A current Forklift Licence and prior warehouse/freight leadership experience are essential.
About the Role
You'll supervise daily inbound air freight and warehouse operations, taking ownership of receiving, freight processing, put-away and dispatch. You'll coordinate labour to meet daily volumes, keep the team accountable to KPIs, and ensure everything runs in line with customer expectations and regulatory requirements — including Customs and biosecurity compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily inbound air freight and warehouse operations
- Operate forklifts as part of daily duties
- Lead and support a team of warehouse employees in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinate receiving, put-away, processing and dispatch
- Drive achievement of operational KPIs and service levels
- Maintain compliance with Customs and biosecurity requirements
- Champion strong WHS and safety standards across the site
- Support inventory accuracy and process compliance
- Liaise with operations leadership and clients to meet expectations
About You
- Current Forklift Licence (mandatory)
- Experience in warehouse, freight, logistics or air cargo operations
- Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational setting
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and freight movement
- Experience with WMS and RF scanning systems
- A hands-on leader who works alongside the team, not just above it
- Solid communication and organisational skills
- Exposure to customs bonded or regulated warehouse environments highly regarded
