About the role

Due to a solid book of current projects and a positive forecast, a permanent role has become available for an ambitious yet humble Project Manager to join our team with an immediate start.

Reporting to the Project Delivery Lead, you will be working within a supportive and hardworking team on either one or multiple projects within Sydney, NSW or further afield. You will be based out of our office in Mona Vale but will alternate between the office, our sites and your home.

The successful applicant will be:

- A task orientated problem solver,
- Organised, with a strong desire for technical detail,
- Hungry to learn and develop, and
- Not too proud to get stuck in on site if that's what's needed!

Tasks and responsibilities

Working closely with project teams to deliver construction projects from Contract Award through to Handover and end of Defect Liability Period. You will lead the full breadth of the project - planning, procurement, safety, technical quality assurance, progress claims, site inspections, administration, internal reporting, client reporting and handover.

Liaise and build relationships with clients,



consultants, subcontractors and suppliers and attend regular project meetings with the client stakeholder group.

You will be expected to attend and spend time at our sites to learn and develop your technical construction knowledge and the skills of managing a project.

You will be expected to be inquisitive, to extend yourself, ask questions, learn and apply the knowledge.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this position you will have:

- A trade or tertiary background and qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering,
- A maximum of 2-3 years in a construction project management role - this role is ideal for someone in their early years as a Project Manager looking for greater opportunity to evolve,
- Technical knowledge of construction and a strong desire to own the technical details - if 'punching out the packages' is your thing, this role isn't for you,
- Well-developed communication and organisational skills,
- A humble attitude and a thirst to learn,
- A desire to use your own experience to add value to our growing team,
- Be able to commute to Mona Vale (Sydney) and the project site which you are involved in when needed, and
- The ability to obtain a Defence Access Pass as well as Australian permanent residency or citizenship will be well regarded.
