About the role
We are seeking an experienced Territory Manager to join our ENZED team in QLD. In this role, you will market Parker products, using Direct Sales involving face-to-face contact with customers. Responsible for over $5M AUD sales budget.
What you'll be doing
Promote the sale of Parker products through direct customer representation and in support of distributor sales personnel, meeting sales targets.
Review accounts and products to ensure a balance between meeting sales targets while maintain margin results.
Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs by reviewing their operations and identifying opportunities for Parker product introduction and increased usage.
Demonstrate technical features and benefits of Parker products to customers and prospects.
Investigate customer complaints and recommend or implement product modifications where required.
Assist with preparation of tenders, follow up on proposals, and liaise with customers to resolve design or process queries.
Arrange product demonstrations, training and trial installations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular basis.
Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and professional and ethical standards.
Implement applicable Quality Assurance procedures and participate in quality-related initiatives.
Consistently provide premier customer service in all interactions.
Prospecting for new business and conversions.
What we're looking for
3-5 years' experience in the motion, control and fluid connector industry.
3+ years field sales experience (essential).
Mechanical Aptitude experience.
Tertiary study in Engineering (preferred).
Studies in Marketing and/or Management (preferred).
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate multiple tasks.
Excellent time management and organisational skills; well organised, accurate and efficient in planning daily activities to meet deadlines and territory targets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a professional phone manner and confidence presenting to medium and large groups.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using systems for inventory management and reporting.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical engineering solutions.
Team-oriented team player who can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and distributors.
Understanding of the franchise agreements and compliance (desirable).
Agile and self motivated to deliver results.
