Peerless Sandblasting & Industrial Coatings Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking Sandblaster / Factory Hand to join our team on a casual basis. This role is based at our facility in Salisbury, QLD 4107 and is integral to our surface preparation and coating operations. As a Sandblaster / Factory Hand, you will be responsible for performing sandblasting operations and general factory duties that support our core business activities. This is a hands-on position that requires physical capability, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safe working practices in a dynamic industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

Operating sandblasting equipment to prepare surfaces for coating applications, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to specifications

Maintaining and inspecting sandblasting equipment to ensure it remains in safe working order

Following established safety protocols and procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Cleaning and preparing work areas, including removal of debris and waste materials

Assisting with the movement and organisation of materials and equipment around the factory floor

Supporting other team members with general factory duties as required

Documenting work completed and reporting any issues or concerns to supervisors

Maintaining a clean and organised work workplace to promote safety and efficiency

What we're looking for

Previous experience in sandblasting, surface preparation, or similar factory/industrial roles (desirable but not essential)

Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour,



including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items

A strong commitment to workplace safety and willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

Attention to detail and the ability to work to specifications

Reliability and the ability to work consistently, even on a casual basis

Basic communication skills and the ability to take direction from supervisors

A willingness to learn and develop skills in sandblasting and industrial coating operations

Any relevant qualifications or certifications in safety or equipment operation are advantageous
