Due to an exciting leadership opportunity within our Academic team, we are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join St Rita's College as Head of Program – Diverse Learners, commencing January 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a contemporary, whole-school approach to inclusive education that supports every learner to thrive - from students requiring learning adjustments and targeted intervention through to those who benefit from extension, acceleration and enrichment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Dean of Academic Engagement, you will provide strategic leadership of the College's Diverse Learners program, ensuring every student is known, supported and challenged to achieve their potential.
Working collaboratively with academic leaders, teachers, families and external professionals, you will:
- Lead the College's Diverse Learners program across Years 5–12.
- Champion evidence-based inclusive teaching practices and build staff capability through coaching and professional learning.
- Oversee NCCD processes, learning adjustments and compliance.
- Lead programs supporting students requiring intervention, differentiation, extension and enrichment.
- Use student data to inform strategy, improve outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the transition of students with diverse learning needs into secondary education.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of Diverse Learner Case Managers and teacher aides.
This is a highly influential middle leadership position that will shape inclusive practice across the College while directly contributing to outstanding student outcomes.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in learning support, inclusive education or diverse learners.
- Expertise in differentiated teaching, evidence-based practice and inclusive education.
- Strong knowledge of NCCD requirements and experience leading compliant processes.
- The ability to coach and develop teachers to deliver exceptional learning outcomes.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with students, families and colleagues.
- A strategic mindset, using data to drive improvement and inform decision-making.
- A genuine commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of St Rita's College.
