Harbour Early Learning Bowral is a state-of-the-art, recently completed purpose-built early childhood centre. Our team at Harbour Early Learning is committed to establishing a new standard in early learning in Bowral, one that puts early education at the forefront.
This beautiful service will feature five thoughtfully considered classrooms, catering to children aged Birth to 5 years in a nurturing and inspiring environment.
Operating Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, 52 weeks per year (excluding Public Holidays), our new centre is designed to provide a high-quality early learning experience for children, families, and the local community.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced early childhood professional to lead our founding team as an exceptional, experienced Director / Nominated Supervisor.
We are looking for an individual who is committed to making a meaningful impact in the Bowral community and thrives in building collaborative partnerships with children, families, and early childhood practitioners. Full time positions, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
- Current Child Protection and Child Safety Training
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear National Police Check
- Australian citizens or permanent residents encouraged to apply
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a centre leadership role in an early childhood setting
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and ability to articulate how this applies to the role of Nominated Supervisor
- Sound computer literacy skills in relevant applications
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Lead the centre team in creating a child-safe, inclusive learning environment
- Support and mentor a team of educators across four classrooms
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families and the community
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Embed the centre’s philosophy, policies, and procedures into daily practice
- Promote a positive, collaborative team culture
