An established resort , Heron accommodates up to nearly 300guests with the primary draw card being located right on the Great Barrier Reef. There is a marine centre, activities centre, boutique, award-winning day spa, spacious lounge and bar overlooking the pool plus the expansive Shearwater Restaurant. Marine activities for guests and staff include world-class diving, snorkelling, kayaking and cruises.
Our Shearwater Restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is an expansive hot and cold buffet style of a very high and generous standard. Lunch is a la carte focusing on light to medium meals. Dinner is a variety of multi-selection buffet and a la carte.
We are now looking for a Plumber to join our Heron Island team. The successful candidate will genuinely enjoy becoming part of an exceptional maintenance team, with an engaging personality that thrives on adventure and new experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate III in Plumbing (Trade qualified Plumber/Drainer) with a minimum of 3 year' proven experience working as a licensed tradesperson producing a high standard of work in domestic and commercial work environments.
- Type A Queensland Gas Licence.
- Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Water Act.
- Sound communication (verbal and written), time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively to take responsibility of issues identified and to provide solutions.
- Experience in water and sewerage treatment (highly regarded).
- Current unrestricted manual driver's licence.
- Team player that encourages collaboration and good communication skills.
