Dedes Waterfront Group is looking for a Head Chef for Deckhouse located in a waterfront venue on Sydney Harbour in Woolwich/ Hunter's Hill

Deckhouse operates as a cafe for breakfast and lunch 7 days, and for bespoke events in the evening.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We require a hands on Head Chefwith a strong work ethic, team focused attitude, leadership qualities as well as the ability to work with themanagement team.

The ideal candidate would have strong leadership and organisational skills, great communication with experience in events and restaurant service with ability to lead a busy service, style and execute stunning large format platters/stations

Weddings, Christenings, social occasions and bespoke events generally ranging from 50-300pax. Seated, canape, corporate

Cafe dining of up to 150pax.

Must be available to work a varied roster to include weekends and nights.

Manage all aspects of the kitchen including the menu, team, kitchen, ordering,



rosters and maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen, that adheres to all food preparation and cleanliness guidelines, stock control, deliveries, temperature logs etc.

REQUIRED

Trade Qualified or Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery

And a minimum 5 years cookingexperience

Manage the staff and roster

Cost, plan and execute thevarious menus

Must be strong in events

Must be strong in restaurant/ cafe

Ordering, stock control and maintaining a clean kitchen

Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to work in a high volumeenvironment.

Ability to follow and give direction when required.
