Canberra Locksmiths is seeking a skilled and reliable Qualified Locksmith to join our team in Canberra, ACT. This is a full-time position based in our Canberra office, where you will provide expert locksmithing services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients throughout the region. As a locksmith, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery, ensuring that clients receive prompt, professional, and high-quality solutions to their security and access needs. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation as a trusted provider of locksmithing services in the Canberra community.

What you'll be doing

- Installing, repairing, and maintaining locks on residential, commercial, and industrial properties
- Responding to emergency lockout calls and providing rapid response services to clients in distress
- Assessing security requirements and recommending appropriate locking mechanisms and security solutions
- Performing lock rekeying and master key system installations
- Installing and servicing electronic and digital locking systems
- Conducting site surveys and providing detailed quotations for locksmithing work
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients through professional and courteous service
- Keeping vehicles and equipment well-maintained and organised

What we're looking for

- A recognised locksmithing qualification or apprenticeship completion in locksmithing or a related trade
- Current driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in locksmithing, with demonstrated competency in lock installation, repair, and maintenance




- Strong knowledge of various lock types, including pin tumbler, mortise, electronic, and digital systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex locking mechanisms
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple client appointments
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
- Familiarity with security principles and best practices in the locksmithing industry
- Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development and training in emerging electronic locksmithing technologies
