We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to play a pivotal role in the development of a major transport infrastructure project (Civils &Bridges;) in NSW.
IBG is a majority Indigenous owned recruitment business registered with Supply Nation, specialising in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction and major project recruitment. We partner closely with contractors, engineering consultancies and delivery organisations to place high quality technical professionals.
Our approach is relationship led and commercially grounded, built on practical industry experience and a clear understanding of how complex projects are delivered.
This is approximately a 6month contract opportunity within a high profile alliance environment, working alongside senior operational, engineering and commercial stakeholders to develop a competitive, robust and highly defendable estimate.
About the Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of the estimating process, coordinating inputs from engineering, construction, commercial and operational stakeholders.
The ability to build relationships, establish credibility quickly and keep multiple contributors engaged and accountable will be critical to delivering a high quality estimate within demanding timeframes.
About You
You’ll bring:
- Extensive experience estimating major civil infrastructure projects in Australia.
- Strong exposure to Transport for NSW projects.
- Local government civil infrastructure estimating experience will be viewed favourably.
- The credibility and confidence to influence senior project, engineering and commercial stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to bring people together and drive outcomes.
- A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to produce accurate, commercially sound estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of detailed estimates for major civil infrastructure works.
- Coordinate pricing inputs across engineering, construction, procurement and commercial teams.
- Facilitate estimate reviews and ensure alignment across multiple stakeholders.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the estimating process.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, well substantiated and capable of standing up to rigorous review.
- Support the development of a competitive submission within a collaborative alliance environment.
