Number of Positions Available: 1 ABOUT US The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better.
It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity. At the Salvation Army Employment Plus (EPlus), our experienced employment teams have been empowering people to find the right job since 1998 as part of the Australian Government's Employment Services network.
We've worked with over 200,000 businesses across Australia and seen well over half a million Australians successfully placed in employment. The Salvation Army Employment Plus has launched a new mobile bus program for regional job seekers to help reduce the impact of transport barriers on their journey to employment. The new face-to-face service brings Employment Plus directly to job seekers who may otherwise struggle to attend appointments, due to poor public transport in their area, or not having a vehicle or driver’s licence.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a team, providing outreach services to regional NSW including Harden & Boorowa (alternating Mondays), Cooma (every second Tuesday) Bibbenluke, Bombala & Jindabyne (alternating Thursdays) and Berridale (every second Friday). Every second Tuesday and every Wednesday will be based at our Queanbeyan office. A current driver's license and ability to drive a van is essential.
