About the Team:
The Business Operations team plays a pivotal role in ASL's success, driving delivery of strategic, contractual and legislative commitments with agility and impact.
We support the delivery of major programs with transparency and accountability, lead enterprise-wide initiatives that transform operations and embed new ways of working, including digital enablement. We are accountable for financial management and procurement governance, shaping ASL's future through integrated planning and insightful reporting, whilst building an inclusive, safe and high-performing organisation through people and culture. In addition, we provide expert contract management services post-tender award, ensuring obligations are met and outcomes are delivered to power Australia's energy transition.
About the Role & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, Business Operations, the newly created role of Head of Digital is a critical, senior leadership role with end-to-end accountability for ASL's full digital and technology agenda.
As the owner of the strategic direction through to day-to-day service delivery in conjunction with the Managed Service Provider (MSP), the position sets the digital roadmap, drives digital transformation and delivery, governs cybersecurity and data practices, and holds primary accountability for the performance of the organisation's managed service provider (MSP) relationship.
The Head of Digital drives the strategy and will evolve its' responsibilities as the business transitions through stages of digital maturity and activities but will remain at the forefront of the function and stakeholder engagement.

Skills and Experiences:
About You & the Role Requirements:
Operating at a senior level, the role requires a confident, experience professional, with demonstrated expertise including but not limited to;
- owning and managing a digital, IT or technology function including the management of a managed service provider (MSP) relationship
- navigating and guiding others through business/operational/relationship transitions or changes
- developing and executing a digital strategy in a mid-market or similarly sized organization
- communicating with, influencing and presenting to, executive leaders, board members and external stakeholders managing technology budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement processes
Joining an established, accountable and engaged team, the role requires a competent leader who supports and empowers, builds capabilities and possesses a pragmatic, commercial attitude. Core outcomes for the role will be to ensure a reliable, cost-effective end-to-end IT service delivery through the MSP, cost optimised technology estate and supplier base, exceptional data and digital governance and a compliant, scalable and secure digital and cybersecurity landscape for the ASL organisation.
