Jara Constructions and Civil – Toowoomba QLD

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Excavator Operator to join our civil construction team in Toowoomba. This full time role offers consistent work across a range of local projects, including earthworks, road construction, subdivisions, drainage, utilities installation, and bulk excavation works. A fully maintained company vehicle will be provided for the successful applicant.

You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating excavators of various sizes, carrying out excavation, trenching, battering, bulk earthworks, loading trucks, and final trim activities. The role will also involve reading plans and set-out information, working with GPS machine control systems where required, conducting daily pre-start inspections, maintaining the plant, and assisting with general site operations as needed.

What We're Looking For





You will have proven experience operating excavators in civil construction environments, with the ability to undertake both bulk and detailed excavation work. Experience with GPS machine guidance systems is highly regarded, particularly for final trim, drainage, and subdivision works.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. You will be reliable, take pride in your work, and communicate clearly with supervisors, surveyors, and other crew members.

Experience operating additional plant such as loaders, rollers, dozers, skid steers, or graders will be viewed favourably, but is not essential.
