Your new company

Client is a specialist construction consultancy offering professional construction services across project management and quantity surveying. As result of continued growth, they are looking to hire an experienced PQS from a similar consultancy environment.

Your new role

The role is a traditional PQS position involving a balanced mix of pre and post-contract responsibilities, including preparing cost plans and estimates, Bills of Quantities, tender documentation and analysis, procurement advice, contract administration, progress claim assessments, variation assessments, monthly cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, final accounts, feasibility studies, value engineering, risk and cost management, and regular site inspections to undertake valuations of completed work and assist the client in managing the head contractor.

The role is client facing, so requires an effective positive, proactive communication style.

What you'll need to succeed

The client is looking for an experienced PQS.



Candidates will either be tertiary qualified in quantity surveying or construction management and will ideally have experience working for a similar PQS consultancy. If that experience is in the southeast Queensland region with network of sub-consultancies and contractors that would be a plus.

The client is still boutique, so looking for someone that is engaged, hardworking and passionate about helping grow the business by exceeding clients' expectations.

The role is QS level – or maybe SQS, suggesting 3-6 years' experience and will involve delivering some projects yourself while working to support team leader on larger more complicated and higher value projects.
