The Role:

We’re looking for a hands‑on Transport Supervisor to lead daily operations and support our team on‑site. This is for the 7:00am - 3:30pm shift. Along with coordinating day‑to‑day transport activities, this role also oversees linehaul operations during the evening, ensuring services run smoothly, issues are resolved quickly, and performance standards are met.

You’ll work across a broad transport network, supporting multiple service modes and stakeholders. This position suits someone who thrives in a quick‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is confident managing moving parts within a complex transport operation.

What you’ll do:

- Lead and support a team of company and subcontractor drivers, ensuring safe, compliant, and on‑time delivery performance
- Provide sole night‑time linehaul oversight for the national carrier network
- Conduct temperature control checks, manage breakdowns, and actively monitor DIFOT
- Manage daily transport operations for a major customer, ensuring service excellence
- Allocate runs, resources, and fleet effectively to meet KPIs and customer requirements
- Manage freight flows across road, rail, and sea services, selecting appropriate modes and assets
- Build robust customer relationships, acting as a trusted partner on‑site
- Oversee safety, fatigue, and Chain of Responsibility compliance
- Complete operational and compliance reporting as directed by Site Management
- Drive a culture of teamwork, accountability, service quality,

What You'll Bring:

- Experience in 3PL transport operations, with strong knowledge of fleet and driver management
- Understanding of national transport and linehaul networks across road, rail, and sea
- Demonstrated ability to allocate resources across multiple service modes to achieve operational targets
- Exposure to customer‑site operations and direct driver supervision (desirable)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage drivers and subcontractors
- Excellent stakeholder and customer relationship management
- Competence in transport management systems (TMS) and compliance processes
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem‑solving capabilities
- Confidence to lead from the front in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
