About the Role
MSS Security is seeking a qualified and dependable Security Officer to join our Defence team at a secure Defence facility in the Illawarra region. This is an opportunity to work in a highly trusted environment where attention to detail, professionalism and accountability are essential. As a Casual Security Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the safety and security of Defence personnel, contractors, visitors and critical infrastructure. Working within a Defence environment requires a high standard of integrity and the ability to remain vigilant while delivering exceptional customer service. About You:
- Australian Citizen
- Current NSW Security License
- Negative Vetting 1 Defence Clearance or willingness to obtain
- Current Driver's License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
Key Responsibilities:
- Access control and visitor management
- Conducting patrols and security inspections
- Monitoring compliance with Defence security procedures
- Responding to incidents and emergencies
- Building positive relationships with Defence personnel, contractors and visitors
- Completing accurate reports and documentation
